Five Cases of Ulcerative Colitis With Review of Literature

Abstract
|
|
|
This is a report of five cases of ulcerative colitis treated at the Sung-Sim hospital.
Three males and two females were presented.
Average age of onset was 30 years old and all cases were below 35 years of age.
The symptomatic diagnosis was very difficult because of no characteristic symptoms in ulcerative colitis.
The diagnosis was dependent on the histological features of rectal biopsy or operation speci-men and colon x-ray findings.
Brief discussion concerning etiology, pathology, clinical manifestations and treatment were made with review of literature.
